This pickle is my version of a traditional family recipe that I started making with high-protein soya for my daughter when she turned vegetarian.

Shalini Balaji is the 70 year old founder and proprietor of this fledgling venture. Shalini's spice is her attempt to share a modern, healthy version of an old family recipe that she started making for her own family when they turned vegan. Spurred by the demand for this high protein, preservative-free home-made pickle from family and friends.


Shalini has launched a small, all-women enterprise which provides a livelihood to all involved. Every batch is made with the greatest care, each bottle is packed by hand and every single parcel is sent with love!
